Since its founding, ownership of Yamaroku has been passed down 5 generations up to this day with its current owner being Yasuo Yamamoto. Yamaroku's goal is to keep the traditional soy sauce making alive which is done by naturally fermenting and brewing the soy sauce in large cedar barrels called kioke. Out of current soy sauces made today, less than 1% of them are prepared the traditional way that Yamaroku does it, which they have been consistently producing the same way for the past 90 years. Try these authentic, traditional, and ancient soy sauces which have never been commercially sold in America until now!\u003c\/div\u003e","published_at":"2020-10-14T14:28:04-07:00","sort_order":"best-selling","template_suffix":"","disjunctive":false,"rules":[{"column":"vendor","relation":"equals","condition":"Yamaroku"},{"column":"title","relation":"not_contains","condition":"Sample Unit"}],"published_scope":"web","image":{"created_at":"2020-10-14T14:28:03-07:00","alt":null,"width":465,"height":303,"src":"https:\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0422\/4686\/5049\/collections\/Yamaroku.jpg?v=1602710883"}}]

Soy Sauce w/ Yuzu & Saduchi Fruit (Ponzu), 5oz (148ml), Pack of 12
8.6 lb
Using yuzu and sudachi fruit, Yamaroku's take on Japanese ponzu sauce surpasses the standard to the next level. Containing the juices from these native fruits grown in the Tokushima area of Shikoku, the smallest main island of Japan, this ponzu sauce uniquely stands out by having more of a fruity citrus hint rather than a soy sauce taste. Being certified organic by the Japanese Agricultural Standard (JAS), the equivalent to the USDA Organic certification, there are no artificial ingredients, chemicals or preservatives used in this sauce.
